Grade 7 Star Student

在英语课上，我们学习了不同的写作技巧，和如何写一篇关于“学生应该每天上体育课“的说服文。

In the English class, we have learned different writing skills and how to write a persuasive paragraph whether students should have PE every day.

由于新冠肺炎疫情，我们不得不在网上学习。在设计课的线上课堂，我们学会了如何使用Sketchup软件制作3D房子。这是个很有趣的单元，让我可以从内到外创作自己的3D房子。

Due to the novel coronavirus, we had to take classes online. In the design online class, we have learned how to make a 3D house using the software Sketchup. It is an interesting unit that I can create my own 3D house from the inside out. 

我们在科学学了一个新主题“你是谁？”，课题的核心概念是关于基因与遗传特征之间的关系。我们设计和策划了一个实验来观察球的质量如何影响运动物体的加速度。多学习这课术语的话，我相信我会做得更好。

We have learned a new topic “Who are you?” in sciences, the key concept of this topic is all about the relationship between genes and inherited characteristics. We also planned and designed an experiment to see how the mass of the ball affects the acceleration of the moving object. I think I can do better by studying the specific vocabulary of the subject.

Iris在学习各方面有进步，并在所有科目上取得平衡。她在功课上付出很大的努力，这也可以丛整个学年里她的功课质量上反映出来。

Iris has made such good progress in all areas of study and has shown herself to be well balanced in all subjects. She has put a lot of effort into her tasks, and it is evident in the quality of work she has submitted throughout the year.

她有很强的学习动力，认真求学的态度有助她取得好成绩。她也可以处理问题并尝试立即解决它们。

She is very motivated to do well and has a strong work ethic which helps her achieve at good levels. Iris can also handle problems and tries to solve them right away.

Iris is open-minded, as she is often willing to accept her peers’ suggestions when they are planning for activities.

She sets a great example for all with her good attitude and behaviour in the classroom.

八年级学生之星

Grade 8 Star Student

当我刚到学校的时候，我不能说一口流利的英语，但是得到不同老师的帮助。现在我的英语水平提高了，可以自信地交流了。许多老师像Ben和Sebastien老师在教我们的同时，总是给课堂带来欢乐。

When I first came to school, I could not speak fluent English, but various teachers have helped me a lot. I have improved my English now and I can communicate with confidence. Many teachers like Mr. Ben and Mr. Sebastien always bring joy into the classroom as well as teach us.

虽然中学部有不同年级，我们也可以跟6年级和7年级的学生交朋友，并与他们一起努力合作。我很珍惜我们之间的友谊。每当我们遇到问题时，我们都会互相帮助。

Although there are different grade levels in the MYP, we can also make friends with 6th and 7th graders and work with them. I really appreciate the friendship between us. We help each other whenever we encounter problems. 

我觉得在这里学习很好的一点是学生可以表达他们的意见。学校持开放的态度，乐于接受各种想法。我们的老师会倾听我们的意见，愿意把学校变成越来越好。

One thing I feel good about studying here is students can express their opinions. I have found the school is open to ideas. Our teachers listen to us and are always willing to make the school better and better.

Hao是一个性格开朗、敏感又重感情的学生，对体育很感兴趣。

Hao is a cheerful, sensitive and affectionate student with great interest in sports. 

他总是乐于帮助他的同学和老师。

He is always ready to help his classmates and teachers. 

我鼓励Hao提高他的组织能力，并在暑假期间继续努力发展他的英语口语和写作能力。如果他准备充分的话，我相信他会在新学年有一个好的开始。

Hao is encouraged to improve his organizational skills and continue his effort to develop his oral and written English skills during the summer. I am sure he will get a good start for the new school year if he is well-prepared.
