近日，同学们以元气满满、“龙”光焕发的面貌回归校园。在即将到来的人间三月天，我们也迎来一年一度的运动盛会！3月1日，斐特思2024运动会将在校内拉开帷幕。新学期不妨齐振龙马精神，以龙腾虎跃的姿态奔驰在绿茵场上！
The students recently returned to campus excited to start a new semester. On March 1st, we will usher in the annual sports event, FCG 2024 Sports Day, which will kick off on campus.
与上学年幼、小、初、高联合举办的运动会不同，因学生人数不断增长的需求，本学年的斐特思运动会将分为上、下午场，上午场面向幼儿园、小学的学生和家长，下午场则为中学部学生和家长的专场。在保留跑步、铅球、跳远等传统竞技比赛基础上，更设有多样趣味运动项目，增进亲子情感交流，在互动中融入健康运动理念，在趣味中促进家园互育。
斐特思运动会不止是一场场勇往直前的挑战，更是一个让孩子们学习如何飞驰人生的成长舞台。
在体育竞技中，学生往往展示出对体能、意志和团队精神的极致追求。广州斐特思注重培养学生的“6C”核心素养，其中“Collaboration & Wellness”代表着“团队协作，身心健康”。而运动作为一种全球共通的语言，能够促进不同文化背景学生之间的交流与合作。在运动会上，孩子们将学会在博弈中相互尊重，培养团队合作、克己忍让的精神。
欲练英雄志，须明胜负多。一场校园运动会，宝贵之处在于对人格和品质的磨练，能让孩子们知道如何从失败中汲取经验来创造成功。斐特思运动会中丰富多样的比赛项目，更是利于提升学生的自信心，助力他们坚定勇敢地迎接未来的更多挑战。
When Fun Meets Dynamism:
Experience the FCG Sports Day
Unlike the Sports Day jointly held by the EY, PS, MS, and SS in previous academic years, due to the increasing demand for student population, the Sports Day this academic year will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session is for Early Years and Primary School students and parents, and the afternoon session is for Secondary School students and parents. Based on retaining the traditional competitive competitions such as running, shot put and long jump, there will be a variety of fun sports for the children to participate in.
FCG Sports Day challenges students and is a stage for children to perform.
In sports competitions, students often show the ultimate pursuit of physical strength, will, and team spirit. FCG focuses on cultivating the students' "6C" core qualities, in which "Collaboration & Wellness" stands for "teamwork, physical and mental health". As a global language, sports can promote communication and cooperation among students from different cultural backgrounds. At our Sports Day, students will learn about respect, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Experiencing victory and defeat can strengthen a student’s mentality. The wide variety of events in FCG Sports Day is conducive to enhancing students' self-confidence and helping them bravely meet more challenges in the future.

Balanced with the Ethos of Fettes College UK
As an international school, we inherit our active ethos from Fettes College UK. The school has built first-class sports teaching facilities for students according to local conditions, including a FIFA (International Football Federation) certified football field, FIBA (International Basketball Federation) certified basketball court, an 8-lane 50-meter Olympic international standard heated swimming pool, 1,000 square meters indoor equestrian hall, as well as climbing walls, squash halls, tennis courts and gymnasiums.
Students can explore their potential and choose their favourite sports in the school's various sports courses. In addition, the school also provides a variety of lunchtime house competitions such as basketball, tennis and obstacle courses. These sports activities help students discover their inner strength and develop a lifelong love of sports and physical activity. FCG embraces a ‘sports for all’ ethos to support students of all abilities and interests.
On March 1st, we invite all students and their parents to participate in FCG Sports Day. We hope you and your family enjoy the first school event of the spring season.
