为了引导学生深入认识和热爱中华优秀传统文化，激发学生的爱国情怀和民族自豪感，讲好中国故事，本次TED活动中，来自CEP小学五年级的十名同学以“English for China”为主题展开演讲，分享了他们对祖国的热爱之情。
演讲选手们个个精神饱满，以流利的英语生动地表达了自己的观点，博得了现场本次TED演讲其他参赛选手们的阵阵掌声，充分展示了五年级学生们英语学习热情和积极向上的精神风貌。下面就让我们一起来欣赏比赛选手们的风采吧！

2021年、2022年全国小学生英语能力测评(NEPTP)获低年级组全国三等奖。
2023年获得PET证书。

The difference between the north and the south is reflected in all aspects of daily life. After all, China is a vast country with abundant resources, and each place has its own characteristics. When comparing these differences, there are always many interesting scenes. We feel different customs, culture and living habits on this land, which is the precious wealth brought to us by China with its vast territory and multi-ethnic cultural integration. In her eyes, they are lovely people, interesting things. She loves it, and she loves exploration and discovery!
南北差异体现在日常生活的方方面面。毕竟，中国幅员辽阔，资源丰富，每个地方都有自己的特色。对比这些差异，总会发现许多有趣的场景。在这片土地上，我们感受到了不同的风俗文化和生活习惯，这是中国幅员辽阔、多民族文化融合带给我们的宝贵财富。在她眼里，他们都是可爱的人、有趣的事。她喜欢这样的生活，喜欢探索和发现！

Inner Mongolia is his hometown. Everyone’s hometown is special. Every time when he go back, he can find the inner peace there. He can visit his friends and relatives, eat delicious food and enjoy the great scenery. In China, there are many places like his hometown, they are beautiful and full of cultural atmosphere. If you can go one of them, you can know more about China and its abundant culture.
内蒙古是他的家乡。每个人的故乡都是特别的。每次回去，他都能找到内心的平静。他可以走亲访友，品尝美食，欣赏美景。在中国，有很多地方都像他的家乡一样，风景优美，充满文化气息。如果你能去其中的一个，你就能更多地了解中国，了解中国丰富的文化。

Chinese tea are divided into six categorizes, green tea, white tea ,yellow tea, wulong tea,black tea and dark tea. Her father likes green tea, she likes green tea too. When it comes to tea, we have to mention tea sets,There are three parts of Gaiwan. The lid stands for heaven. The bowl stands for mankind. The tray stands for earth. Hope everyone will like the tea.
中国茶分为六大类：绿茶、白茶、黄茶、乌龙茶、红茶和黑茶。她父亲喜欢喝绿茶，她也喜欢喝绿茶。说到茶，就不得不提茶具。盖代表天。盖碗代表人,盘代表地。喝茶有很多值得细细品尝的地方，希望大家都喜欢喝茶。

China also has many yummy food and fun festivals. Some of the food he likes are dumplings, noodles, and hot pot. Some of the festivals he likes are Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival. They are full of joy and meaning.China is an amazing country. He is proud to be a Chinese. He hopes we can learn more about China and visit China someday.a someday.

Chinese cuisine has a long history and profound in its variety.Morning tea is a Lingnan folk food custom in Guangzhou. Tea drinking is a habit of Cantonese people, not only tea, but also with many dim sum like shrimp dumplings, shaomai, congee, chicken feet, steamed ribs and so on. People can enjoy the food while chatting and communicating, enjoying the leisure time.
中国美食历史悠久，博大精深，早茶是广州的岭南民间饮食习俗。喝茶是广东人的习惯，不仅喝茶，还有虾饺、烧卖、粥、凤爪、蒸排骨等多种点心。人们可以一边品尝美食，一边聊天交流，享受闲暇时光。

Shadow play is one of the oldest plays in our country, the performance is very entertaining, wonderful and moving. It has been enjoyed by everyone for thousands of years, and even foreigners like shadow plays very much. Welcome to China to watch Shadow play.

Chinese characters are the cultural treasures of our Chinese nation, carrying thousands of years of history and civilization. Chinese characters are not only a tool for recording language, but also an important carrier for passing on culture, expressing thoughts and exchanging feelings. Therefore, as the inheritors of Chinese culture, we must learn Chinese characters well, understand them, and let them become a bridge connecting China and the world.
汉字是我们中华民族的文化瑰宝，承载着数千年的历史与文明。汉字不仅是记录语言的工具，更是传承文化、表达思想、交流情感的重要载体。所以我们作为中华文化的传承者必须学好汉字，了解汉字，让汉字成为连接中国与世界的桥梁。

The meaning of the word "China" encompasses geographical, political and cultural connotations, as well as spiritual, emotional and value-added attachments. They are the common memory and pride of the Chinese people, as well as our strength and faith for the future. In this era, it is all the more important for us to deeply understand and pass on the origin and meaning of the word "China". With a more open mind, we should accept the diversified cultures of the world; with a stronger faith, we should guard and carry forward the excellent traditions of the Chinese nation.
“中国”这两个字的含义，既包含了地理、政治、文化的内涵，也蕴含了精神、情感、价值的寄托。它们是中国人民共同的记忆与骄傲，也是我们走向未来的力量与信念。在这个时代，我们更应该深入理解和传承“中国”两个字的来源和含义。我们要以更加开放的心态，接纳世界的多元文化；以更加坚定的信念，守护和发扬中华民族的优秀传统。

His hometown Liaoyang, is a beautiful and quiet city with a population of more than 1.8 million. It is located in northeast China and the center of Liaoning province. She tells an old story about the monster Nian.Long long ago, there was a monster called Nian. It had a big head and strong body. Every year, on the last day of the year, it would come out and hurt people. It would also eat the animals and destroy the house. The people were afraid of Nian but want to kill it. So they tried in a lot of ways and succeeded.This story tells us that Chinese people are clever and brave, they will overcome the difficulties and create a better life.
很久很久以前，有一种怪物叫 "年"。它头大身壮。每年的最后一天，它都会出来害人。它还会吃掉动物，毁坏房屋。人们害怕 "年"，但又想杀死它。这个故事告诉我们，中国人是聪明勇敢的，他们会克服困难，创造美好的生活。
