On March 26th, under the bright spring sun, we welcomed a special activity organized by the Luohu District Supervision Office with the theme "Daily Physical Education Class." This activity aims to deeply implement the national guidelines on comprehensively strengthening and improving school physical education in the new era, ensuring that every student on campus has sufficient time for physical exercise, and thereby achieving the goal of having a healthy physique.
During the supervision process, the inspection team first listened to the work report from Director Yin Zhihong of the Teaching Center about the school's implementation of "Daily Physical Education Class." Vice Principal Hu Shaoming added information about Huamei's achievements in physical education. Huamei student Li Zongheng won the championship in the "Future Star" competition organized by the China Table Tennis Association and will participate in the table tennis finals of the 2024 Shenzhen City primary and secondary school sports competition on April 8th. In the 2023 Guangdong Province primary and secondary school physical fitness test, Huamei students' average performance leads significantly among similar schools in Luohu District.
Subsequently, the team conducted a thorough inspection of the school's sports facilities, equipment, and the arrangement of physical education courses on-site. Professional personnel also attended physical education classes, conducted interviews and surveys with teacher and student representatives.
During the physical education classes, students were enthusiastic and actively participated in various sports activities. Physical education teachers carefully prepared lessons, tailored personalized physical education plans based on students' actual conditions, selected suitable sports equipment, and used a variety of teaching methods to stimulate students' interest in sports. Under the careful guidance of the teachers, students not only exercised their bodies but also developed teamwork spirit and competitive awareness, laying a solid foundation for their future growth.
While actively implementing "Daily Physical Education Class," the school summarized four major advantages: time advantage, space advantage, mechanism advantage, and system advantage, allowing students to enjoy fun, enhance physical fitness, cultivate sound character, and strengthen their willpower, leading to comprehensive improvement in their physical and mental qualities.
This supervision and inspection activity is not only a comprehensive review of the school's physical education work but also an opportunity for experience exchange and learning. The inspection team highly praised Huamei's physical education work and also shared their insights from the perspective of "Responsibility, Action, and Reflection."
