PYP Exhibition 小学毕业成果展


The Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPX) is the culmination of the Primary Years Programe (PYP). It is a milestone for IB students.

小学毕业成果展是学生在国际文凭小学项目(IB PYP)学习之旅的一项结业性质的探究活动,是作为IB PYP学生从小学向中学过渡的里程碑。

SHARING THE PLANET

 共享地球

The topic of PYP Exhibition this year is “Sharing the Planet”. It gives the Y5 students the opportunity to design an inquiry from choosing a relevant global issue, conducting research, taking action and communicating their findings. One of primary objectives of the PYP is to develop internationally minded individuals who are prepared to face the global issues of the time. In ISA Tianhe, we focus upon Planet Earth and how we can better take care of it to ensure that it will be passed to later generations.

此次小学毕业成果展的主题是“共享地球”。在爱莎天河学校小学毕业成果展中,五年级的学生有机会开展一个与全球性问题相关的探究活动,他们对此进行研究、采取行动并交流和展示他们的发现和探究成果。国际文凭小学项目(IB PYP)的主要目标之一是培养具有全球意识的世界公民,为他们面对当今全球性问题做好准备。在爱莎天河学校,我们爱护地球并学习如何更好地保护它,为下一代共同守护美丽的地球。

GROUP INTRODUCTION

 小组简介


Once the students have chosen their global issue, they begin to design their inquiry. This involves developing a central idea and lines of inquiry as well as choosing key concepts and learner profile attributes. The children then being to become more knowledgeable through researching or collecting data. Once they have developed a better understanding of their chosen issue, they will design actions to help our school community become inspired to participate in helping their cause. Finally, the students design an ‘experience’ by curating a room within our school in which they give their final presentation and report their findings. This process can involve IT-based presentations, visual artwork, music compositions, drama, and many other components.

学生们选定了他们希望探究的全球性问题后,便开始设计他们的探究计划。他们需要明确探究项目的中心思想、探究线索、重要概念及IB学习者特质等。然后他们开始开展研究和收集数据,在这个过程中,他们的知识储备逐渐丰富,渐渐地对所探究的全球性问题有了更加深刻的理解。在充分理解主题之后,他们开始设计行动,鼓励更多学校社区成员参与到他们的探究项目中。最后每个小组将有一个房间,学生根据所探究的主题和内容对房间进行设计和装饰。为了在最终的展示环节中能让观众有一个沉浸式的体验,学生们采用多种多样的展示工具和方式,包括基于IT技术的展示方式、视觉艺术品、音乐作品、戏剧等。

Finally, Y5 students presented their works to their younger schoolmates, parents and other members of the school community on 31st March and 1st April. Children developed a 10-minute experience which communicates their research and findings. The students designed their experience to incorporate their interests and strengths whether they be IT, the Arts, Science, Math, or any other discipline.

3月31日和4月1日,五年级的学生向爱莎社区成员展示了他们的作品。孩子们用10分钟的演讲阐述他们的研究和发现。展示过程中,他们结合了自身的兴趣和优势,无论是IT、艺术、科学还是任何其他学科的能力都发挥得淋漓尽致。

ACHIEVEMENTS

Students gain valuable skills which will help them succeed in education and beyond. Developing vital skills such as how to research, how to present your findings and how to work as part of a group are just some of the benefits of the participating within the PYPX.

通过小学毕业成果展,学生们发展了宝贵的技能,比如研究、展示和团队合作等。这些技能将让他们受益终生,无论是在学习还是学习以外的事物。

Ensuring that the PYPX is deeply connected to the local community is a key emphasis in ISA Tianhe. Within their exhibition the students were able to connect with local charities and local businesses to understand how their global issue is relevant in the local community. We believe that the students’ research and sense of responsibility for the planet have a long-term value.

爱莎天河学校注重培养学生的社会责任感。因此,本次小学毕业成果展社区息息相关。学生们深入当地慈善机构和企业,研究和理解他们的所探究的全球性问题与社区的相关性。我们相信学生们的研究成果和守护地球的责任感定将持续影响更多人。
