ISA Wenhua High School of Guangzhou and Hong Kong G.T (Ellen Yeung) College, hereinafter referred to as " G.T College") have officially signed a sister school agreement. This marks the beginning of a new year for deepening collaboration between Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the context of accelerating integration in the Greater Bay Area in the education sector. ISA Wenhua High School, as one of the few international private high schools in Guangzhou, strives to contribute to the new heights of Guangzhou's education openness under the 14th Five-Year Plan.
G.T College is a local full-time BAND1 directly subsidized school in Hong Kong, offering DSE and IB curriculum. In the 9th DSE exam in recent years, 87.9% of students reached the university admission line (Hong Kong average 42.1%), which is 2.1 times the average in Hong Kong; 29.6% of students achieved Level 5 in 11 subjects (Level 5 is the highest level in the DSE exam). It not only has outstanding DSE results, but is also considered one of the most sought-after schools in Hong Kong. Many students are admitted to top universities worldwide and in Hong Kong, it is considered one of the most sought-after schools in Hong Kong.
ISA Liwan and G.T. College are both originate from the IB holistic education curriculum. They concurrently offer diverse courses tailored to meet the varied needs of student populations. In terms of educational philosophy and teaching methods, they share numerous commonalities.
Dr. Tan Kwok-wai, the principal of G.T College, along with several experienced subject senior teachers, visited ISA Wenhua High School to exchange ideas on the Hong Kong education and assessment system, talent development models, teacher collaboration, research, and training plans. This visit laid a solid foundation for future in-depth communication and cooperation between the two schools.
During the tour of the ISA Liwan campus, G.T College team fully understood the school's characteristics of multicultural integration and the values of "respecting differences, diverse integration, integration of knowledge and action, and harmonious development." Dr. Tan and his team highly appreciated and identified with ISA Liwan's holistic education philosophy, as well as admiring the boldness, speed, and ambitious vision of ISA Group's development.
Based on shared educational visions, pedagogical philosophies, school missions, and goals, the management of G.T College decided to establish a sister school relationship with Guangzhou ISA Wenhua High School to help further understand and recognize the development trends of the new era national curriculum. G.T College encourages ISA Liwan to incorporate the essence of the Hong Kong DSE curriculum into its diverse educational system and is willing to provide powerful support in teacher training, curriculum research, educational optimization, student activities, and cultural exchange.
