At ISA Liwan, pastoral care has always been an essential element of our community culture. We deeply understand that the core of education is to be "student-centered." Therefore, over the past year, the ISA Liwan boarding department has provided comprehensive care for children through its unique pastoral care philosophy and outstanding educational practices.


We aim to create a positive, inclusive, and warm school community and cultural atmosphere for the students.

2023-2024学年,爱莎荔湾寄宿部 (国际方向) 从上学年的38名寄宿生,发展到超过100名寄宿生的社区。随着寄宿生人数的增加,我们为寄宿生提供了更多的可选择的课程内容与活动。


同时,今年我们不断优化寄宿课程的时间安排,致力为寄宿生提供更充实和更优质的寄宿生活:首先,我们增加了ECA的时间,希望让寄宿生有更充分的时间发展其专长技能;其次,更合理地分配晚自习、拓展课程、自由活动、运动和休息的时间。


我们重点为寄宿生提供了四大方面的支持

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the ISA Liwan Boarding (International Direction) has grown from 38 boarders in the previous academic year to a community of more than 100 boarders. As the number of boarders has increased, we have also provided boarders more choices of programmes and activities. 


At the same time, we continued to optimize the boarding course schedule and strived to give our boarders a more fulfilling and better boarding life. First, we increased the ECA time so that they will have more time to develop their skills of interest. Secondly, we reallocated the time arrangement for evening self-study, ECA, playtime, sports, and rest time.

学术支持

本学年寄宿部为学生提供了语言培训和学科辅导的课程:针对各年级开设了教学重点和程度不同的英语综合提升班、托福培训班、雅思培训班和雅思强化班,全部均为小班制教学。此外,各学段都有学部老师在晚自习时提供不同学科的专业辅导,及时为寄宿生答疑解惑。

秉承当下“双减政策“的核心精神,我们致力于通过师生间的有效协作与双向配合,切实减轻学生的学业负担,确保他们能够享有充分的休息时光。教师积极优化教学策略,采纳互动式教学与差异化教学等先进方法,提升了课堂参与度与教学效果,并精心设计作业内容,力求布置具有针对性和实用性的高质量作业,有效避免了重复性和机械性练习。


进一步地,教师充分利用在线学习平台与数字化教育资源,为学生提供丰富多彩的学习素材,便于他们在课后自主开展预习与复习。同时,借助多媒体、实验及模拟等辅助教学工具,帮助学生更为直观地理解并掌握复杂概念。爱莎荔湾尤为注重学生时间管理能力的培养,引导他们养成良好的学习习惯,提升学习效率,从而在繁重的学业中找到平衡之道。

学术支持

Our Boarding program provided language training and subject courses for students this year. Different courses were tailored for the different grade levels, such as comprehensive English improvement classes, TOEFL training courses, IELTS training courses, and IELTS intensive classes, all of which were taught in small class size. In addition, subject teachers for the different subjects were assigned to provide academic support during evening self-study and helped clarify any queries for our boarding students.


In line with the core spirit of the current "Double Reduction Policy," we are committed to effectively reducing students' academic burdens through effective collaboration and mutual cooperation between teachers and students, ensuring they can enjoy ample rest time. Teachers actively optimize teaching strategies, adopting advanced methods such as interactive and differentiated instruction to enhance classroom engagement and teaching effectiveness. They meticulously design homework assignments to ensure they are high-quality, targeted, and practical, effectively avoiding repetitive and mechanical exercises.


Furthermore, teachers make full use of online learning platforms and digital educational resources to provide students with a variety of learning materials, facilitating their independent preview and review after class. Additionally, using multimedia, experiments, and simulations as auxiliary teaching tools helps students understand and master complex concepts more intuitively. At ISA Liwan, we place a strong emphasis on cultivating students' time management skills, guiding them to develop good study habits and improve their learning efficiency, thus finding a balance amidst their demanding academic workload.

拓展课程

寄宿时段的ECA课程,是CCA课程的延续,是让学生从兴趣发展成为专业的平台。本学年共开设了篮球校队、排球校队、足球校队、游泳训练队、舞蹈社团、英语辩论队等高级水平的课程。通过专业教练的系统训练,各种比赛的实战锻炼,我们初建的校队也在茁壮成长。

Enrichment Programme

ECA courses during the boarding period are a continuation of CCA courses and a platform for students to develop their interests into areas of expertise. In this academic year, we formed a basketball school team, volleyball school team, football school team, swimming training team, dance club, English debate team, and other advanced-level courses. Our newly established school teams have managed to thrive through the systematic training of professional coaches and the practical exercise of various competitions.

主题活动

在积极支持学生学习的同时,给予他们适当的放松时间也是非常重要的。


寄宿部定期都会举办不同主题的活动。



第一学期,我们延续了爱莎荔湾“校长晚宴”的传统,为学生带来了澳洲和西班牙的盛宴;第二学期,我们迎来了一系列的主题派对,包括House Party、电影派对、水果派对、国际儿童节派对、Night Party,以及全年重点活动——年度晚宴暨寄宿部嘉奖仪式和高中部舞会。


通过丰富纷呈的活动,让寄宿生拥有更加精彩有趣的寄宿生活,也能够有更多机会与舍友联谊,留下共同美好的回忆。

Thematic Activities

While supporting students in their studies, it is also important for them to have proper relaxation. 


For this reason, we regularly hosted activities with different themes.



In the first semester, we continued the "Head of School Dinner" tradition in ISA Liwan, bringing students a feast of Australia and Spain. In the second semester, we welcomed a series of themed parties, including the House Party, the Movie Party, the Fruit Party, the International Children's Day Party, the Night Party, and the highlight of the year - the Annual Dinner Party and the Boarding Awards Ceremony and the High School Prom. 


Through activities with different themes, boarders can have a more exciting and interesting boarding life giving them more opportunities to socialize with their housemates and create good memories together.

心理健康支持

学生的身心健康是寄宿部最为关心的。


学校心育中心除了白天对全校学生有预防、干预和治疗一系列的措施和服务外,也有为不同的寄宿生群体提供举行团体活动、团体或个人辅导等举措,包括社交意识较薄弱的小学生、踏入青春期的初中生和准备大考的高中生。


宿管老师均需要考取心理健康教育证书,以对寄宿生的情绪和心理状况具备一定的察觉力。

此外,爱莎荔湾积极与家长携手合作,定期举办家长讲座与亲子交流会,分享科学的教育理念与方法,致力于构建良好的家校关系。学校积极鼓励家长参与孩子的课外活动,不仅为家长提供陪伴孩子成长的珍贵机会,也助力家长更深入地理解和支持孩子的学习与成长之路。


我们为学生提供360度全方位的支持与关怀,旨在减轻家长的陪读负担,将家长传统的“陪读”角色转变为更加温馨、有益的“陪伴”关系,助力家长与孩子共同往更好的方向发展,促进更加和谐的亲子关系建设。

Mental Health Care

At the boarding department, our students' physical and mental health is our unwavering commitment. 


In addition to a series of preventive, intervention, and treatment measures and services for all students during the day, our school's Wellbeing Center also provides various group activities, group or individual counselling, and other measures. These are tailored to different groups of boarders, including primary school students with weak social awareness, middle school students entering adolescence, and high school students preparing for major exams. 


In fact, It is worth mentioning that all our boarding teachers are required to obtain a mental health education certificate to allow them to better understand our boarders' emotional and psychological needs.


ISA Liwan actively collaborates with parents, regularly holding parent seminars and parent-child exchange meetings to share scientific educational concepts and methods, striving to build a strong home-school relationship. The school encourages parents to participate in their children's extracurricular activities, not only providing precious opportunities for parents to accompany their children's growth but also helping parents understand and support their children's learning and development more deeply.


We provide students with comprehensive 360-degree support and care, aiming to reduce the burden of parental accompaniment. We transform the traditional role of "accompanying study" into a more warm and beneficial "companionship," helping parents and children develop together in a better direction and promoting a more harmonious parent-child relationship.

Through this series of strong support measures, ISA Liwan is committed to effectively reducing students' academic burdens to ensure their physical and mental health. This also makes the time parents and children spend together more enjoyable and meaningful.


We closely follow the robust steps of the national "Double Reduction Policy," actively responding to and firmly implementing this significant contemporary guideline. By optimizing teaching methods, scientifically assigning homework, and providing meticulous mental health support, we help students complete most of their learning tasks within the campus, thereby alleviating unnecessary heavy burdens after school.


Guided by national policies, the school will continuously innovate educational models, striving to create the best educational experience for students and parents. Our goal is to provide comprehensive support to every student and family, fostering a harmonious, healthy, and positive growth environment.
