ISASC Language Festival 语言周 | 领略一扇扇窗口后蕴藏的民族文化魅力

The Early Years students took part in their own timetable of fun interactive games, including handcraft, dancing and lively question-and-answer session.The classes had the opportunity to visit the Early Years Library and explored multi-language books, and engaged in some of the activities offered. These activities were designed to help promote the interest of our Early Years students in different languages and cultures of the world. 

幼儿园学生根据活动时间表，在相应的时间段分别参加了包括手工制作、歌舞和趣味问答等充满童趣和教育性的活动。经过一番精心布置的幼儿园图书馆成为了孩子们探索多语言书籍并与老师互动的学习乐园。此次图书周安排的幼儿园活动，旨在培养我们的学生在幼儿园阶段对世界上不同语言和文化的兴趣。

Throughout the three days, Primary and Secondary School students had the opportunity to interact with specially invited native speakers (including teachers, students and parents) from each country each day. 

三天活动中，小学和中学的学生每天均有机会与特别邀请的各国母语者（包括教师、学生和家长）进行交流和互动。

There were special booths in the library showcasing the culture of each country, with a representative parent from that country on hand to introduce and explain to students, as well as poetry readings by native-speaking students; mini-experience sessions in different languages were arranged at different times in the school building, with teachers or parents sharing for interested students in attendance. In the process, students had the opportunity to learn more about the world's languages other than English and Chinese, and to experience the 'global village' culture of the school, thus promoting their motivation for language learning.

图书馆内设置了展现各国文化的特色展位，由该国家的代表家长现场为学生进行介绍与讲解，同时邀请了母语学生进行诗歌朗诵；教学楼内在不同时间段安排了不同语言的迷你体验课，由教师或家长为感兴趣的到场学生进行分享。在这一过程中，学生有机会近距离了解更多除英语和汉语以外的世界语言，切身感受“地球村式”的校园文化，从而促进其对语言学习的内驱力。

In addition, the school organised a Language Learning Workshop for parents, led by Ms. Debbie, the World Languages Coordinator, to which all our parents were invited. Through a detailed introduction to the language learning programme at ISASC, combined with group discussion and interactive games, parents were able to gain a more detailed understanding of how their children learn languages at school, how the school teaches the language through edutainment, and how teachers assess students' language acquisition.

此外，学校还特别组织了一场和语言学习相关的家长工作坊，由世界语言协调员Debbie女士主持，并邀请了全体爱莎家长参与。通过对科学城爱莎语言学习项目的详细介绍，结合小组讨论和游戏互动的形式，家长对于自己孩子在校内是如何进行语言的学习、学校又是如何“寓教于乐”讲授语言知识点，以及教师如何评估学生的语言掌握能力，均有了更加细致全面的了解。
