Brief News on SHBS

一、动物救助与保护

上海宏润博源学校建设上海之动物救助与保护小组救助了学校里的八只成年流浪猫和三只幼猫，并在师生家长中发起筹款，共筹集10929.21元，为猫咪们进行绝育、驱虫和打疫苗等。同学们为猫咪们做了领养海报，目前基本已经全部找到合适的领养人。

Animal Rescue and Protection Project, one of SHBS Building Shanghai PBL projects, rescued 8 adult cats and three little kittens on campus and raised a total of 10,929.21 RMB from teachers, students, parents, and friends to sterilize, deworm, and vaccinate the cats. The students also made posters, looking for new homes for the cats, and now almost all cats have been adopted.

十年级四班龙爸从事兽医医药研究三十余年，听说我校师生救助的流浪猫需要药品赞助时，专门请来亚洲小动物兽医师协会联盟主席陈鹏峰先生为同学们开设流浪动物救助和喂养的讲座，并且一起来看我们救助的猫咪们，悉心诊治并给出用药意见。感谢家长们一直以来对学校的支持。

Tenth grader Kaisa's father has engaged in veterinary medicine research for more than 30 years. On hearing that the cats we rescued need some medicine, Kaisa's father invited the chariman of Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Association Mr. Chen Pengfeng to give a lecture on how to take care of stray animals, to check the cats rescued, and to give opinions on treatment and medication. We are so grateful for the all-time support from the parents.

二、创意视频获奖

在GIA组织的兄弟院校间“冉冉之星”创意视频竞赛中，我校管晨涵和韦宗懿小组荣获冠军以及100美金的奖励；池骏涛、魏昊佳和王研心小组荣获季军。

In the "Rise Up" creative video competition organized by GIA among the GIA schools across China, David Guan and Tom Wei's group won the championship along with 100 $ bonus; and Gary Chi, Alice Wei, and Wendy Wang's group won the third place. Both groups are from SHBS! Congratulations!

三、铂楷实验室PBL项目

铂楷实验室是提供PBL课程以及几项国际级竞赛（iGEM，KWHS，FRC等）的专业机构，已经和上海中学国际部，北京新东方扬州外国语学校等合作培养学生，并在前述的国际竞赛上屡有斩获大奖。

BoKai Lab provides PBL programs and trainings for international competitions like iGEM, KWHS, FRC. It has cooperated with the International Division of Shanghai High School, Beijing New Oriental Foreign Language School at Yangzhou, ect., and has helped students win awards in the above mentioned international competitions.

铂楷实验室的PBL课程以及教授讲座免费开放给宏润博源的同学们。本周四已经正式启动生物PBL课程。

Bokai Lab has decided to offer its PBL courses and lectures for SHBS students for free. The first biology PBL program was launched this Thursday.
