英国小说家毛姆，曾写过一本随笔集，叫做《阅读是一座随身携带的避难所》，他在书里写到：“培养阅读的习惯能够为你筑造一座避难所，让你逃脱几乎人世间的所有悲哀。”他也自认：自己虽是一名作家但更想成为一名阅读家。
如果，世界上有阅读家这个职业的话，那么BCIS书展上的每一位同学，都可以此称之。毕竟只有你们才能席地而坐，与书同行。
BCIS每年会举办两次书展，一次是在3月。一次是在11月，我们鼓励学生们去翻阅书展上的每一本书，尽情享受阅读所带来的快乐和幸福。
人类的文化在历史中穿梭，尚如银河中所倾泻而出的光点，有人攫取了碎片的星星，便引以为星辰，止步不前；有人拾起一路零星的光点，放进随身的袋子里，再打开时，积攒的星辰已汇成了一条璀璨的星河。
每一个文字都是银河中的光点，我们所阅读的越多，便越能以此为光，照亮我们前行的路。
阅读的力量，远比任何一种形式更为温暖且有力，像一只巨大的翅膀，包裹着你我，守护着我们的赤子之心。
也许我们终将有一日会踽踽独行，但在阅读的世界里，我们沉默——却永不孤单。
就像博尔赫斯的《阿莱夫》中说到的：“即便我住在坚果壳里，我仍是我自己无限空间里的国王。”
坚持阅读吧，和家人们分享，BCIS的小小阅读家们，愿你们能一直保持阅读的习惯，享受阅读的乐趣。

British novelist Maugham once wrote a collection of essays called "Reading is a Refuge to Take with You". He wrote in the book: "Cultivating the habit of reading can build a refuge for you and let you escape. Almost all the sorrows in the world." He also admitted: Although he is a writer, he wants to be a reader.
If there is a profession as a reader in the world, then every student at the BCIS Book Fair can be called it this way. After all, only you can sit on the floor and walk with books.
BCIS holds book fairs twice a year, once in March. Once in November, we encourage students to go through every book on the book fair and enjoy the joy and happiness that reading brings.
The power of reading is much warmer and more powerful than any other form, like a huge wing, which wraps you and me and guards our heart.
Maybe we will walk alone one day, but in the world of reading, we are silent - but never alone.
As Borges said in "Aleph": "Even if I live in a nutshell, I am still the king of my own infinite space."
