World Languages Week, English Week, Chinese Week: One of the hallmarks of ISA Science City is our celebration of linguistic diversity and cultural exchange. During our annual World Languages Week, we take time to honour and appreciate the rich tapestry of languages spoken by our diverse student body. Through engaging activities, students have the opportunity to explore different languages, traditions and customs, fostering a deep appreciation for cultural diversity.

爱莎科学城独具特色，我们对语言多样性和文化交流的热忱深深植根于学校的核心价值之中。每年的世界语言周，我们特意腾出时间，以尊重和欣赏的眼光，对待我们多元化学生群体所使用的丰富多样的语言。通过精心策划的趣味活动，学生们有机会深入探索不同的语言、传统和习俗，从而培养对文化多样性的深刻认识和尊重。

English Week and Chinese Week are dedicated to showcasing the importance of these two languages in global and local contexts respectively. These weeks provide platforms for students to develop language skills, engage in language-related projects and celebrate the unique contributions of the English and Chinese cultures.

英语周和中文周则分别聚焦全球通用语言——英语，以及我们的母语——中文，突显这两种语言在全球和本土环境中的关键地位。而我们的特色主题周则为学生们搭建了一个让他们能够发展语言技能、参与与语言相关项目的平台，并鼓舞学生更加深入地理解英语和中文文化对于整个世界而言的意义与价值。

Nurturing Multilingualism & Cultural Heritage:  Our commitment to multilingualism goes beyond language appreciation. We believe in the power of bilingualism and the benefits it brings to cognitive development and cultural understanding. Through our Primary School Bilingual Inquiry programme, students engage in cross-disciplinary projects that integrate both English and Chinese or Korean languages, enabling them to develop a deep understanding of concepts from multiple perspectives.

培养多语言能力，促进文化传承：我们对于多语言的教学，远不止于单纯的教孩子们去欣赏。我们深信双语能力所带来的力量，以及它在推动认知发展、增进文化理解方面具有长远的益处。通过我们精心策划的小学双语探究项目，学生们得以参与到跨学科的活动中，将英语、中文或韩语自然融入学习之中，从而能够更全面地、从多个维度深入理解和掌握各种概念。

We also recognise the importance of maintaining and nurturing students' mother tongues. Our Mother Tongue Support Programme provides additional resources and support for students to strengthen their mother tongue skills. By embracing and valuing students' diverse linguistic backgrounds, we foster a sense of belonging and pride in their cultural heritage.

同时，我们也高度认识到维护和培养学生母语能力的重要性。为此，我们特别推出了母语支持计划，为学生提供丰富的资源和持续的指导，旨在帮助他们巩固并提升在母语方面的运用能力。我们坚信，通过接纳和珍视学生多样化的语言背景，我们能够培养出对自身文化遗产有深厚归属感和自豪感的未来一代。

Embracing Diversity and Empathy: International Day is a highlight in our school calendar where we come together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our students and staff. This event showcases the beauty of diversity through performances, exhibitions and interactive activities that promote intercultural understanding and appreciation.

共融多样性与同理心：国际日作为我们学校年历上熠熠生辉的盛事，不仅是一个简单的庆典，更是我们共同凝聚、颂扬学生与员工丰富多彩文化遗产的盛大舞台。在这一天，通过精心策划的表演、展览以及互动环节，我们展示多元文化的独特魅力，推动跨文化间的深度理解与欣赏。

In a recent school assembly, we focused on the language of inclusion. We emphasised the importance of creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and respected, regardless of their cultural or linguistic background. By fostering a culture of inclusion, we empower our students to embrace diversity, develop empathy and become advocates for positive change.

而在最近的一次学校集会上，我们特别聚焦于“包容之语”的主题。我们深刻认识到，营造一个包容性环境至关重要，让每个学生无论其文化或语言背景如何，都能感受到被珍视与尊重的温暖。通过持续培育这种包容性的校园文化，我们赋予学生拥抱多样性、培养同理心，并激发他们成为积极变革倡导者的潜力。

At ISA Science City, our commitment to intercultural understanding, cross-cultural communication, global engagement, multilingualism and internationalism is deeply woven into the fabric of our school community. Through programmes such as World Languages Week, English Week, Chinese Week, Bilingual Inquiry, Mother Tongue Support Programme, International Day and our commitment to the language of inclusion, we provide a holistic educational experience that prepares our students to be global citizens and leaders in an ever-changing world.
