ISASC Lunch Concert 爱莎科学城午间音乐会 | 传递声声不息的快乐“魔法”

After the event, Mr. Rosario wrote this paragraph to record his reasons for organising the lunchtime concert and the moments in preparation.

活动结束后，Rosario先生写下了这么一段文字，记录下他举办此次午间音乐会的初衷以及筹备中的时刻：

The purpose of organising a music event such as a “Lunch Concert” is to build up self-confidence. Performing in front of friends, classmates, and teachers is never easy. Music events increase discipline. For example, students need practice, self- evaluation, critical thinking, and time management skills. All IB skills that we teach at school, but also outside the classroom in a different setting. In addition, students improve their English, reading or memorising lyrics in English and combining words with sounds really helps your memory. 

能够大胆地站在朋友、同学和老师面前表演绝非易事，因此，我们组织“午间音乐会”的初衷在于建立学生在公众面前展现自我的自信心。音乐活动也能够帮助学生提高自律性，学生练习音乐的过程同时也是自我评价的过程，无形中帮助他们形成批判性思维并增强时间管理技能。作为一所IB学校，我们也希望，校园的每一处，不拘于教室，都能成为学生收获技能与成长的地方。这次音乐会的准备过程就一个很好的学习机会：学生在筹备过程中，通过记忆歌词、旋律，将单词与声音相结合，也有助于提高他们的英文水平和记忆技巧。

We had prepared performances after lunch, and students had never missed a rehearsal, which proves how excited they were for this event. Students did make this event successful because of their passion and love for music. They created a magical atmosphere of happiness all around the campus with the awareness of having a great time together.

表演是在午间时分进行，学生们在表演前均积极参与了每一场排练，这也证明了他们对表演的重视与兴奋程度。我们认为，午间音乐会最终能够收获热烈的反响并取得成功，最重要的原因在于孩子们对音乐的热情与热爱。虽然我是这次活动的组织老师，但我真心认为，孩子们给予学校社区的力量也是源源不断的，他们有能够在校园中创造美好时刻的“魔法”，并将快乐的氛围传递给每一位社区成员，带动大家一起享受其中。

We also hope to organise more talent shows like this in schools in the future to give children more opportunities to express and showcase their talents.

我们也希望未来能够在学校中举办更多类似的才艺展示活动，给孩子们带来更多表达与展现自己出彩一面的机会。
