SUIS 课程 | A Level学生艺术展-用艺术与世界对话

祝贺我们A1和A2艺术与设计专业的学生们，你们在本学期表现出了热情和投入，你们具有创造性的想法并完成了高质量的工作。你们身上的坚韧和协同互助的精神，值得赞扬与肯定。

We would like to congratulate the A1 and A2 Art and Design students for all their passion and dedication, creative ideas and high-quality work, resilience and collaboration shown in Semester 1. 

整体上说，A1和 A2艺术设计专业的学生们在本学期都取得了很大的进步。在 A1课程中，学生们创作了一系列作品，探索了自己感兴趣的主题。在 A2课程中，学生们继续围绕一个由他们个人兴趣驱动的自主选择的课题进行了一项持续性研究学习。

Both A1 & A2 Art & Design students have made great progress. In A1, students have developed a series of works exploring a theme of their choice. In A2, students have conducted an ongoing investigation around a self-selected research question driven by their personal interests. 

在A Level阶段，学生们要完成的不仅仅是艺术绘画作品。他们更多需要打磨的是组织和沟通能力，批判性思维和决策力，才能够在绘画之外，赋予他们作品一定张力与影响力，完成令人惊叹的作品。

At A-Level, students ought to achieve far more than just painting artwork. Students need to be good at organising and communicating, critical thinking and decision-making, and they need to create amazing artwork.

所有A Level的学生都尝试并复习了使用一系列不同媒介进行创作的过程和技术。他们熟悉传统的艺术类媒介，像是炭笔、彩色铅笔、油彩、丙烯颜料、水粉画和水彩画。他们也会使用摄影、亚麻印花、风干粘土、织物和混合媒介来完成作品。

All of the A-Level students have tried and reviewed the processes and techniques of using a range of media. They are experienced with traditional art class media such as charcoal pencils, coloured pencils, oil pastels, acrylic paint, gouache paint and watercolour. They have also experimented with photography, linocut print, airdry clay, fabrics and mixed media work.

Congratulations to all our students. You managed to find your own theme and studied it in depth. You expressed yourself through your works and connected yourself to the world with the language of art. We look forward to seeing your amazing artwork next semester.
