在3月23日体验日上，低年级学部校长本思德先生、高年级学部校长艾里先生将详细解析学术课程和教学方法，把哈罗学子的成才路径娓娓道来。
本思德先生是哈罗横琴的创校成员之一，曾在中国和英国的小学任教多年，在学校管理和发展方面有丰富经验。他特别致力于低年级学生的全面发展。
“哈罗横琴低年级采用主班老师制度，确保英式教学法原汁原味地在课堂中实施。我们致力于营造一个快乐、包容的学习环境，同时全英课堂环境和充足的语言辅助，可以为他们的学习提供强有力的支持，为下一学习阶段的成功奠定扎实基础。”
艾里先生拥有超过25年的教学经验和超过20年的学校管理经验，曾在英国，阿联酋和印度任教，并在领先的国际教育集团担任过校长、董事、学校督学和国际教育管理顾问等职位。
“卓越的学业成绩是我们永恒的目标，而与此同时，发展学生积极学习的主观能动性，培养他们的好奇心、应变能力和直面挑战的能力，为进入大学和职业生涯做好准备至关重要。
从校长对学校课程的深入讲解到身临其境的双语课堂体验，您将对我们的教育方法有更全面的了解！在这次体验日，孩子们在经验丰富的老师们带领下，完全投入到哈罗横琴的学习氛围中，体验创造性的探究式教学法和寓教于乐的互动式学习，发现“学习语言”和“用语言学习”的不同之处。
*本次学术课程体验环节提供的课程涵盖英语、音乐、科学等科目，由于时间限制，每次体验日开设两节体验课程。具体体验课程内容以活动当天安排为准。
**本次学术课程体验环节均由外籍老师采用英语进行授课（低年级部分体验课有双语导师辅助）。为了让您的孩子获得最佳试听体验，孩子需要具备使用英文进行沟通的基础能力。
作为哈罗全人教育的重要一环，在一天的学术课程之后，学生们可以自由选择丰富多样的课外课（CCA），无论是体育、艺术、语言还是社区服务，我们的 CCA 都致力于为学生提供一个舞台，让他们发现自己的热情，发展领导力特质，开阔多领域的视野，并通过创立项目与团队协作，建立终生友谊。
体验日当天，低年级的孩子们可以体验一把3D打印、动画制作、“变废为宝”等意想不到的CCA，小小的兴趣，也会在未来发展成为无限的可能！
体验日上，大家将在哈罗横琴学生大使的带领下深入参观学校，从设备齐全的教室、实验室、创意工作室和礼堂，到室内游泳池和全尺寸室外操场，了解校园匠心配置如何激发孩子们的学习和创造力。
哈罗校园处处藏着“惊喜”——随处可见的名人肖像都有什么来头？深藏于“黑匣子”的顶级设施是什么？孩子们可以跟着精心准备的“寻宝图”， 实地探索的同时，体验传承百年历史的厚重底蕴和注入创新精神的校园文化！

In today's dynamically evolving world, we are thinking more and more deeply about the transformative power of education - the ability to understand multiculturalism and communicate effectively across languages has become a critical skill, and the ability to utilise multi-dimensional creativity and solve complex problems is a valuable lifelong asset.
We therefore firmly believe that the development of bilingualism and holistic education is an integral part of school education. Authentic bilingualism means not only proficiency in the use of language, but also a deep understanding of different mindset and cognitive constructs, leading to a seamless transition between social and cultural situations; while holistic education emphasises critical thinking, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Know about Our Curriculum
What kind of curriculum and learning content does Harrow Hengqin implement to help children truly develop their bilingual abilities, achieve academic excellence, build outstanding characters, and fully develop their talents and skills in various fields?
At the Experience Day on 23 March, Mr. Benstead, Head of Lower School, and Mr. Ali, Head of Upper School will explain in detail the academic curriculum and teaching methods, and bring to life the pathway to success for Harrow students.
Mr. Benstead is one of the founding members of Harrow Hengqin and has extensive experience in school management and development, having taught for many years in primary schools in China and the UK. He is particularly committed to the holistic development of students in the Lower School.
"Lower School uses homeroom teacher system to ensure that the British teaching methodology is well implemented. We are committed to creating a happy, inclusive learning environment, whilst the full-English environment and ample language teaching can provide strong support for students’ learning and lay a solid foundation for success in the next stage of their studies."
Mr. Ali has over 25 years of teaching experience and over 20 years of school management experience, having taught in the UK, the UAE and India, and has held positions as Head Master, Director, Supervisor and International Education Management Consultant with leading international education groups.

Experience a Day
in Life of a Harrovian
From the Heads’ in-depth explanation of the school's curriculum to an immersive bilingual class experience, you will gain a full understanding of our approach to education! On this experience day, students will be fully immersed in the learning environment with experienced teachers, experiencing creative enquiry-based pedagogies and fun interactive learning, and discovering the difference between "learning a language" and "learning with a language".

*The courses offered in this academic experience session include English, music, maths and science. Due to time constraints, only two experience courses will be offered at each grade level. The specific content of course is subject to the arrangement on the day of the event.
**All of the academic experience sessions will be delivered in English(Lower School students will be assisted by bilingual teachers). In order to optimize your children's learning experience, your child needs to have a basic ability to communicate in English.
As an important part of Harrow's holistic education, after a day of academic courses, students are free to choose from a rich and varied range of Co-curricular Activities (CCAs). Whether it's sports, arts, languages or community service, our CCAs are dedicated to providing opportunities for students to discover their passions, develop leadership attributes, broaden their horizons in multiple fields and build lifelong friendships by initiating projects and working in teams.
On the Experience Day, children at Lower School can experience 3D printing, animation production, "waste to treasure" and other interesting CCA. Small interests can also develop into endless possibilities in the future!
*Specific taster CCAs are subject to arrangements on the day of the event.
On the experience day, you will be led on an in-depth tour of the school by Harrow Hengqin student ambassadors, to have a look at the fully-equipped classrooms, laboratories, creative studios and auditorium, to the indoor swimming pool and full-size outdoor playground and to see how the campus' artisanal configurations can inspire children's learning and creativity.
Harrow Campus is full of surprises – what’s the stories behind of the portraits of celebrities everywhere? What are the top facilities hidden in the 'black box'? Children can follow a "treasure map" and explore the site while experiencing the centuries-old heritage of Harrow and the school culture infused with the spirit of innovation!
