如何用满满的仪式感开启哈罗学子活力一周？从全校晨会开始！

哈罗四大价值观“勇气、荣誉、谦和、互助”的标语和画面不仅在学校里随处可见，并且深刻地融入课程项目、校园活动和教学实践当中，而全校集会是哈罗价值观的集中体现。

每次集会中，校长马千里博士都会就哈罗价值观发表主题演讲，时而引经据典和讲述名人故事，呈现价值观指引下前辈们成就的伟大事业和精神；时而结合自己亲身经历和生活体验，启发同学们通过身体力行践行哈罗价值观，去发展成长的乐趣和生活的热情。

在哈罗横琴，我们表彰同学们优秀的学术成绩，更注重学生才能的全面发展和身体力行地践行哈罗价值观，如“校长奖”、“院舍积分奖”等会被授予展现哈罗价值观和杰出行为的学生。每一个奖项的取得，不管来自校内校外，都是身为一名哈罗人所珍视的荣誉，也是全校哈罗人见证和庆祝的成就。这些都会在全校集会上进行表彰。

全校集会作为一个校内影响力大、效应周期长、组织频次稳定的舞台，为项目式学习（Project-based Learning）带来了绝佳的项目设计和展示空间。通过校会展示和教学实践相结合，形成“项目发起→主题学习→成果展示”的良好循环。

五年级同学们的描述性写作成果展示就是一个非常好的范例。为全校集会上的班级表演做精心准备，大家在学习《吹梦巨人》童话故事英文原著后，运用学习到的描述性写作技巧创作自己的故事，并结合书中“梦想瓶”的情节写下对未来的期许。最终在校会舞台上，同学们呈现了一场精彩的英文朗读和歌曲演唱，不仅展示了他们丰富的学习成果，更是起到了榜样作用，让很多孩子面对英语学习备受鼓舞。

身为哈罗人，发展出类拔萃的领导力特质是必经之路，而这怎么少得了走到全校师生面前，勇敢发声，振臂高呼呢？全校集会的舞台上常年看见年轻的学生领导的声音，他们奔走于台前幕后和校园各处，为小小的梦想而努力奋斗！

哈罗横琴有着丰富多样的学生组织，包括学生会、院舍学生长、宿舍长、幸福大使和环保大使等提供不同维度的领导力职位，让学生从不同方面参与到学校管理和社区服务当中，而他们都有一个统一的名字——“Student Voice”。根据不同主题活动，不同组织的学生领导们会来到全校集会的舞台主持响应环节，发布信息，呼应更多同学响应和参与。

除了Student Voice，哈罗学子还有很多自发组织的特别项目。从上个学期筹备至今，从一个小小的慈善心愿出发，星海慈善市集（Celestial Fair）在4月1日全校集会上成功发布！

哈罗横琴的校会舞台从不缺才艺展示，我们希望每一位学生都有站在舞台中央发光的机会，而大家也乐于见证每一个人才艺才能的进步和优秀成果。

“哈罗集会之音”作为校会一环，鼓励哈罗学子积极上台表演。值得注意的是，这里的表演不需要是精心准备的大制作，哪怕是刚刚练习完成的一首钢琴曲，刚学会的一首歌，也可以上台表演，因为成长本身就值得庆贺。

当然，精心准备的大制作也有充分的表演机会！还记得惊艳全场的原创钢琴曲、震撼人心的歌曲演唱、排练许久的乐队表演......都曾在校会舞台上大放异彩。

除了以上较为固定的环节，全校集会还因应不同的活动有很多特色项目：每逢新生入学，都会在校会上进行郑重的授帽仪式；每个月与校长共进早餐的机会，在校会上抽签产生；一年一度的哈罗横琴桂冠诗人比赛通过校会上精彩的诗歌主题会谈正式启幕......

全校集会不仅仅对师生开放，也是家长们分享和交流的舞台，是家校互动的又一紧密桥梁。很多家长们带着自己专业领域的资源、知识和见解，通过校会让哈罗学子们看见了精彩人生的更多可能，和更广阔的世界。

全校集会的最后一环，以全体合唱哈罗校歌“Forty Years On”结束。这首古老的校歌，是对过去的传承，也是对未来的期待，而每周集会一次一次地唱响校歌，让熟悉的旋律铭刻在每一位哈罗学子心目中，让在哈罗度过的校园时光成为终身难忘的宝贵回忆。

Harrow's four values of Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship are not only visible through slogan and images around the campus, but are also embedded in curriculum, school events and teaching practices, with whole school assembly being the focal point.

In each assembly, the Head Master, Dr. Max Caruso, delivered a keynote speech on Harrow's values, sometimes quoting famous sayings and telling stories of celebrities, presenting the great deeds and spirit of great people under the guidance of the values, and sometimes combining them with his own personal experiences and life experiences to inspire students to develop the joy of growing up and the zest for life through the practice of Harrow's values.

At Harrow Hengqin, we recognise academic excellence, as well as holistic development and the practical application of Harrow values, with awards such as the Head Master's Award and the House Points Award being given to students who have demonstrated Harrow values and outstanding behaviour. Each of these awards, whether from inside or outside the school, is an honour that is cherished as a Harrovian and an achievement that is witnessed and celebrated by the whole school. These are recognised in whole school assemblies.

As a stage with great influence, long effect period and stable organisation frequency, the whole school assembly provides an excellent space for Project-based Learning. Through the combination of whole school assemblies and teaching practice, a good cycle of "project initiation → thematic learning → results demonstration" is formed.

An excellent example is the Grade 5 presentation of descriptive writing. After studying the original English version of the fairy tale "The Big Friendly Giant", they used descriptive writing skills to create their own stories and wrote about their hopes for the future in the context of the "Dream Jar" in the book, in order to prepare for the class performance at the school assembly. Finally, on the stage of the school assembly, the students presented a wonderful English reading and singing, which not only demonstrated their rich learning achievements, but also served as a role model and encouraged many children to face the challenge of English learning.

As a Harrovian, developing exceptional leadership attributes is a must, and how can this be achieved without going out in front of the whole school, speaking up and raising your voice? The voices of young student leaders are often seen on the stage at whole school assemblies, in front of and behind the scenes and all over campus, working hard to achieve their dreams!

Harrow Hengqin has a rich and diverse range of student organisations, including the Student Council, House Captain, Boarding Captain, Wellbeing Ambassadors and Sustainability Ambassadors that provide leadership positions of different dimensions, allowing students to be involved in different aspects of school management and community service. They all have a unifying name - " Student Voice". Depending on the theme of the event, student leaders from different organisations will come to the stage of the whole school assembly to lead the response session, disseminate information and call for more students to respond and participate.

In addition to Student Voice, Harrovians have many other self-organised projects. From last term's preparations to the present, starting from a small wish of contributing to society, the Celestial Charity Fair was successfully launched at the whole school assembly on 1st April!

There is never a shortage of talent to showcase at Harrow Hengqin. We want every student to have the opportunity to shine on the centre stage, and we all enjoy witnessing the progression and excellence of each individual's talent.

As part of the whole school assembly, “The Sound of Assembly” encourages Harrovians to perform on stage. It is important to note that the performances do not need to be elaborate productions, even a piano piece that has just been practised, or a song that has just been learnt, can be performed on stage, as growth itself is worth celebrating.

Of course, the well-prepared productions also have ample opportunities to perform! Remember the original piano compositions that wowed the audience, the songs that rocked the auditorium, and the long-rehearsed band performances ...... have all shone on the whole school assembly’s stage.

In addition to these regular sessions, whole school assembly has a number of special features that vary from event to event: a solemn hat ceremony is held at the whole school assembly every time a new Harrovian enters the school; the opportunity to have breakfast with the Head Master is drawn by lot at the whole school assembly every month; and the annual Harrow Hengqin Poet Laureate Competition is officially opened with a wonderful themed talk at the whole school assembly......

The whole school assembly is not only open to teachers and students, but also a stage for parents to share and exchange ideas, constructing another close bridge between home and school. Many parents brought resources, knowledge and insights from their own professional fields, and through the school assemblies, Harrow students were able to see more possibilities for a wonderful life and a wider world.

The final part of the whole school assembly ended with a chorus of the Harrow school song 'Forty Years On'. This school song is a legacy of the past and an anticipation of the future. Singing the school song in assemblies makes the familiar melody engraved in every Harrovian’s mind, and makes the time spent at Harrow an unforgettable and precious memory for a lifetime.
