A Prelude to the Exhibition|个人项目进度展示—— 前奏

TWIS在2024年3月迎来了MYP5个人项目进度展示,作为即将到来的展览的序曲。学生们展示了他们完成个人项目产品的经历。  

 

TWIS welcomed March 2024 with the MYP5 Personal Project Work-in-Progress Fair as a prelude to their upcoming exhibition. Students showcased their experiences from the beginning of their PP journey until this time of completing their products and other requirements for the Personal Project.    



在展会上MYP5的同学们运用沟通技巧,向参观展览的观众展示他们迄今为止的成就以及在过程中遇到的挑战。这项活动展示了IB学习者如何完成个人项目过程的每个部分和阶段表现出来的IB学习者属性 “积极探究”, “善于沟通”以及 “善于反思”。


Applying their communication skills, the students presented their reflections based on their achievements and challenges thus far. This activity displayed how the IB learners accomplished each part and stage of the PP process. 



老师和其他MYP学生的参与对于活动的成功起到了至关重要的作用,该活动旨在使学习者的展示得到和接受有意义的反馈。MYP5的同学们收集了观众们重要的建议和评价,使他们可以利用这些建议并付诸于行动当中,进一步启发他们完善自己的作品,为即将到来的个人项目展览做好准备。作为一项阶段性评估任务,这次的个人项目中期展览会对接下来MYP5学生的最终的个人项目是重要的一次启发和完善的机会。   


The involvement of the teachers and other MYP students played a vital role in the success of the event with its aim to make the learners demonstrate giving and receiving meaningful feedback. The MYP5 gathered highly relevant and impactful comments and suggestions from their audiences that they can use and put into actions to further develop their works and presentations for their upcoming PP exhibition. As a formative assessment task, the PP Work-in-Progress Fair informed the MYP5 students of their next steps in finally completing their personal projects and successfully achieving their learning and product goals.

我认为通过这次演讲,我获得了很多收获,很多观众在听完我的演讲后给了我一些建议,我认为这些建议是有意义的,可以帮助我更好地改进。例如,一些观众认为我的演讲时间太长,展示的内容太多,建议我适度简化一下;还有一些观众认为我的成功标准还需要改进,需要知道如何衡量自己是否达到了这些标准。 


I think I gained a lot from this presentation, and many of the audience members gave me some suggestions after listening to my presentation, which I think are meaningful and can help me to improve better. For example, some audience members thought that my presentation was too long and showed too much content, and that I should streamline it a little bit; some other audience members thought that my success criteria still need to be improved, and that I need to know how to measure whether I have met these criteria or not.

我觉得在修改我的成功标准方面,我获得了很多经验。我的一些成功标准使用了不准确的词语,老师指出了这些不准确的词语,并给了我一些合适的词语作为建议。同时,老师还给了我一些句子来准确描述我在视频中所做的事情,比如“编辑时间和节奏”,“通过编辑背景音乐来改变声音设计,表达悲伤情绪”。这些都帮助我改进了我的PP的成功标准,并让我对我的PP有了新的理解。  


I think I gained a lot of experience in revising my success criteria. Some of my success criteria used inaccurate words and the teacher pointed out the inaccurate words and gave me some appropriate words as suggestions. At the same time, the teacher also gave me some sentences to describe exactly what I did with my video, such as "editing the time and pacing", "change the sound design by editing the background music to show the emotion of sadness". These things help me improve the success criteria of my PP, and at the same time, give me a new understanding of my PP.

在这次展示中,我得到了很多建议。例如,搞清楚批判性思维和反思之间的关系;我得到的最有用的建议是尝试在我的最终产品中添加一些解释。老师指出,如果我在我的最终产品中没有解释,观众可能无法知道我做这个项目的原因。根据我的老师的建议,我正在考虑如何呈现解释部分的方式,并且我将在以后向我的导师和协调员寻求他们的建议,帮助我完成产品的解释部分。


In this presentation, I got a lot suggestions. For example, figuring out the relationship between critical thinking and reflection; The most useful suggestion I got was to try to add some explanation on my final product. The teacher pointed out that if I add no explanation on my final product, the audience may not be able to know the reason why I'm doing this, and that doesn't substitute for the reason why I'm doing this project in the first place. Based on my teacher's advice, I am thinking about the way I should present the explanation part, and I will ask my supervisor and coordinator later for their suggestions to help me with the explanation part of my product.

在这个过程中,我还收到了观众的各种反馈。在评估观众的反馈后,我将根据他们的建议对我的报告进行修改。首先,我将在我的成功标准中添加更多的细节。我将创建一个调查问卷,根据观众的回答百分比来确定我是否达到了我的标准。除此之外,我还会写更多关于我所做的每个决策的信息,这样我的报告就会更清晰,更容易理解。  


During this process, I also received various feedback from my audience. After evaluating the feedback from the audience, I will make changes in my report by following their advice. First, I am going to add more details about my success criteria. What I will do is to create a survey, and according to the percentage of answers of the audiences, I will determine whether I reach my criteria. Apart from that, I will write more information about the reason for each decision I made, so that my report will be clearer and more understandable to others. 



在经验中学习,在总结中成长。期待在最终的个人项目展览会上,学生们能充分展示不可思议的潜力和才华,我们迫不及待地期待他们下一次汇报的表现。
