面试目的 | Purpose of the Interview

了解学生英语能力之外，学校希望通过面试认识每一位学生的个性与品德，从学习态度、价值观、待人接物技巧至团队合作精神等方面作全面评估

The idea of conducting the interview is not only to assess students’ English proficiency, but also to understand their personality and moral character. We would like to make a comprehensive evaluation by knowing different facets of students, from attitudes towards learning, moral values, interpersonal skills to team spirit and etc.

面试小贴士：

1. 面试以英语为主

2. 不用紧张或害羞，跟面试老师轻松面谈

3. 发挥你的好奇心、创造力和展示批判性思维

4. 如听不清楚面试老师的提问，可以向老师提出重复问题

5. 如听不懂面试老师的提问，可以向老师提出要求以中文重复问题

6. 尽力而为以英语回答，以中文补充回答亦可，根据能力发挥

Interview Tips:

1. The interview will be conducted in English

2. Don't be nervous or shy, it will be a relaxed and casual conversation with the interviewer

3. Unleash your curiosity, creativity and demonstrate your critical thinking skills

4. If you are not clear about the question, feel free to ask the interviewer to repeat

5. If you don't understand the question in English, feel free to ask the interviewer to repeat in Chinese

6. Try your best to answer questions in English first while Chinese is also acceptable when you find it is better to express yourself

To accurately evaluate students’ performance in certain subject areas, select the most suitable students during admissions process and the test reports support teachers in curriculum design and lesson planning

MAP 考试须知 | About MAP Test

笔试采用MAP® 电脑自适应学业测试，题目难度会随着考生答题状况而变化，此测试能个性化评估每个学生的学业表现。MAP测试在全球超过145个国家，接近1000所学校被广泛应用，是一个严谨、可信和准确的第三方测评。通过权威大数据的对照结果，明确掌握学生在同年级学生中的能力水平。

You will take a computer adaptive test called Measures of Academic Progress®(MAP®). By dynamically adjusting to each student’s responses, MAP test creates a personalized assessment that accurately measures performance. Close to 1000 international schools in more than 145 countries use MAP test as their preferred assessment provider because it is rigorous, credible and accurate. We can clearly understand how each student performs from the report which uses the authoritative data to compare the scores within students in the same grade.

测试时间没有限制，考生可以在没有时间压力的情况下，认真思考完成考试。一般来说，学生可以在30分钟内完成每科考试。

Tests are not timed, and students may take as much time as they need to complete them. In general, most students spend around 30 minutes per subject area.

测试科目如下（以现就读年级归类）：

幼儿园大班至2年级：英语阅读，数学 

3至12年级：英语阅读，英语语言运用，数学

Subjects areas (According to current grade of students):

K3 - Grade 2: English reading, Math

Grade 3 - 12 : English reading, English language usage, Math 

MAP 考试小贴士：

1.考试开始前，请听从监考老师指示

2.每位学生须按指示在iPad上登入系统，请耐心等候监考老师确认后才开始

3.考题语言是英语 （所有科目）

4.请尽力而为、仔细审题、认真思考

5.每位考生有充足时间回答问题

6.所有题目均须作答，遇到不会的题目请选择最接近的答案

7.提交每一题答案前可以改变选项

8.答案一旦确定，自动到下一条并不能返回

9.完成测试后，请选”DONE“或举手向监考老师示意

10.考试期间如有任何疑问， 请举手向老师示意

MAP Test Tips: 

1.Please follow proctor’s instructions before the test 

2.Every student is required to login in the system on iPad, please be patient and begin the test upon confirmation by the proctor

3.All test questions will be written in English (For all subjects) 

4.Try your best in the test, take your time to read and answer all the questions

5.Rest assured, you will have enough time to complete the tests 

6.You will have to answer all questions. If you really do not know the answer to a question, try to choose the closest answer.

7.You can change your mind and pick a different answer before you submit it

8.Once you finish a question and move to the next one, your answer is locked and cannot go back to change it

9.When you finish the test, please press ‘DONE’ or raise your hand and wait for proctors to assist 

10.Please raise your hand if there is any problem during the test
