Summary of NAIS Sports this year 体育年度总结

As we approach the end of the academic year, it's been wonderful to see our students continue to improve their technique and skill across a whole range of sports in school.  As well as their sports curriculum – which in itself covers a huge range of sports options – our competitive sports stars from Year 4 to Year 13 have participated in an roughly 18 netball matches, 25 volleyball matches, 46 basketball matches, 54 football matches, two tennis tournaments, four badminton tournaments, and seven swim meets.

Within that context, we have utilised our excellent on-campus sports facilities to host three netball tournaments, three football tournaments, a volleyball tournament, a badminton tournament and then countless football, basketball and volleyball matches.   While we have the opportunity compete in friendly games against our Nord Anglia sister schools, our core competitions are within the local Shanghai leagues as well the formal ACAMIS and FOBISIA competition setups.

Just some of the highlights this year include the SISAC boys’ basketball team winning the D2 Boys SISAC plate and traveling to Xiamen to participate in the ACAMIS cup where Daniel Knudsen was selected to the all-star team.  Our U15 girls’ netball team finished second in the ACAMIS tournament (losing by only one goal in the final minute).  The CISSA Boys volleyball team performed incredibly, winning every match they participated in during the season.

Further, we saw some wonderful collaboration between the primary and secondary girls’ netball and basketball team, both of which featured students from Years 6, 7, 8 and 9. This allowed the primary girls to develop their skills and knowledge quickly and then dominate matches against students their own age.  We should also highlight current Y3 student, Marconi Q, who won all four of his swim heats in the Shanghai developmental swim league.

By nurturing the growth of creative, confident, and considerate learners, our school's sports programs play a vital role in the holistic development of our students.  The lessons learned during their sports classes and competitions will serve them well both on and off the field for years to come.

We are very much looking forward to the 2024/25 academic year and all the new sports opportunities that await our students.

本学年即将结束，我们非常高兴地看到学生们在学校的各种体育运动中不断提高自己的技术和技能。除了体育课程之外（体育课程本身就涵盖了大量体育项目），我们四年级到十三年级的体育明星们还参加了大18 场无挡板篮球赛、25 场排球赛、46 场篮球赛、54 场足球赛、两场网球赛、四场羽毛球赛和七场游泳赛。

在这一背景下，我们利用出色的校内体育设施举办了三次无挡板篮球赛、三次足球赛、一次排球赛、一次羽毛球赛以及无数次足球、篮球和排球比赛。我们有机会与诺德安达集团姊妹学校进行友谊赛，但我们的核心比赛是在当地的上海联赛以及 ACAMIS 和 FOBISIA 的正式比赛中进行的。

今年的一些亮点包括：SISAC 男子篮球队赢得了 SISAC D2 男子组冠军，并前往厦门参加了 ACAMIS 杯赛，Daniel Knudsen被选入全明星队。我们的 15 岁以下女子无挡板篮球队在 ACAMIS 锦标赛中获得亚军（最后一分钟仅以一球之差惜败）。CISSA 男子排球队表现出色，在本赛季的每场比赛中都取得了胜利。

此外，我们还看到了小学女子篮球队和中学女子篮球队之间的精彩合作，这两支队伍都由六、七、八和九年级的学生组成。这使得小学女生能够迅速发展自己的技能和知识，并在与同龄学生的比赛中占据优势。此外，我们还要特别提到现在三年级学生Marconi Q，他在上海游泳发展联赛中赢得了游泳比赛的全部四项冠军。

通过培养有创意、自信和有同理心的学习者，我校的体育项目在学生的全面发展中发挥着至关重要的作用。他们在体育课和比赛中学到的经验和教训，将在今后的赛场内外为他们提供良好的帮助。

我们非常期待 2024/25 学年的到来，以及等待我们学生的所有新的体育机会。
