In Japanese class at Lucton Shanghai, students have embarked on a journey of Japanese language learning and cultural exploration. The teacher has played a crucial role in guiding students through this exciting adventure.

上海莱克顿学校提供三个级别的日语课程，分别是 Pre-IG、IG（Y10-11）和 A Level。学习另一种语言不仅是学习外语本身，也是学习一种新的思考方式、文化和风俗习惯。在这样的课堂环境下，学生们都对学习日语和文化非常感兴趣并充满激情。

Lucton Shanghai offers Japanese in three levels, Pre-IG, IG (Y10-11) and A Level. Learning another language is not only learning different and language itself, but learning another way to think about things, culture and customs. Student are all very interested and passionate about learning the Japanese and culture.

Pre-IG刚刚开始学习新语言的旅程。他们从50个平假名开始，一开始这对他们来说似乎是不可能完成的任务。然而，通过每节课认识5个新的假名，他们在不断的进步。他们也喜欢用日语互相打招呼和问候来练习日语口语。他们还喜欢听日本音乐，有些学生甚至会唱一些日本歌曲。

Pre-IG group is just started the journey of learning a new language. They started with the 50 Hiragana letters, and it seemed like a mission impossible to them at the beginning. However, by recognizing 5 letters each lesson, they have made steady progress. They also enjoy say hello and greet to each other in Japanese to practice their speaking Japanese. They also enjoyed listening to Japanese music, and some students can even sing some Japanese songs.

Y10的日语课的学生人数在不断增加。这学期又有一名新学生加入Y10的日语班级。令人欢欣鼓舞的是，所有的Y10学生都将参加今年的IGCSE日语大考。所以，Y10和Y11的学生一样，在尽最大的努力为今年的考试做准备。每周IG的学生们在老师的带领下会在 IG口语练习中扮演面试官和受访者的角色，用日语创造关于各种主题的对话。他们都非常有信心在IG日语大考中取得好成绩。

Y10 Japanese class is growing. We have welcomed a new student to join our class. It is commendable that all the Y10 student are going to take the IGCSE Japanese exam this year. Both Y10 and Y11 are doing their best and working very hard in preparing for the exams this year. We role play as interviewers and interviewees in IG speaking practice, creating conversations in Japanese on various topics. They are all very confident that they are going to get great grades in the real IG exam.

Y12的日语课更加强调学生充分参与课堂。老师通过使用各种教材、多媒体资源和现实生活中的例子，让语言变得生动起来。老师还强调文化理解的重要性。老师和学生们会讨论关于日本习俗，体育，传统和社会等不同主题，帮助学生更深入地理解和运用这门语言。这种文化背景为学习体验增添了深度和真实性，使其不仅仅是记忆单词和短语，而是学以致用和对语言和文化更深刻的理解。

Y12 Japanese is a very engaging and interactive learning environment. The teacher also emphasizes the importance of cultural understanding. The teacher and students have discussions about different topics about Japanese customs, traditions, and society to help students to gain a deeper appreciation for the language. This cultural context adds depth and authenticity to the learning experience, making it more than just memorizing words and phrases.
