莱克顿学子在留学研学论坛

上周末，我们很高兴地参加了在上海浦东嘉里大酒店，由远播教育主办的CITD国际化人才培养与学业规划大会暨留学研学论坛·上海站。本次大会堪称上海今年春季规模最大的国际教育盛会之一，汇聚上海及周边地区70+热门国际学校，邀请众多牛校校长、大咖学者亲临现场探讨教育热门话题，解读政策风向、分析升学趋势、深析家庭教育方式、定制研学路线……

Last weekend, we were glad to attend the CITD Conference on International Talent Development and Study Abroad Research Forum, which was hosted by Yuanbo Education at Kerry Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai. This conference can be called one of the largest international education events in Shanghai this spring, gathering 70+ popular international schools in Shanghai and the surrounding areas, inviting many leading school headmasters and great scholars to discuss the hot topics in education, interpreting the policy wind direction, analyzing the trend of higher education, deeply analyzing the way of family education, and customizing the route of research and study......

值得一提的是，本次大会特设牛剑圆桌论坛，并特别邀请了我校13年级准毕业生Ethan W同学，作为斩获英国剑桥大学offer的学子，分享通关之路，揭开世界高校录取背后的奥秘。

It is worth mentioning that this conference has a special Oxbridge Roundtable Talk, and Ethan W, a prospective Year 13 graduate of our school, have been invited, as a student who has won an offer from the University of Cambridge, to share the road to pass the exams and unveil the mystery behind the admission to the world's colleges and universities.

在圆桌论坛上，Ethan W同学说道：“我打了很多的竞赛，包括化学类、数学类，与此同时，还看了很多专业相关的课外书籍，这让我对相应的学科概念有了更深的理解。”

At the roundtable, Ethan W said, "I attended a lot of competitions, including chemistry and math classes, and at the same time, read a lot of extracurricular books related to my major, which gave me a deeper understanding of the concepts of the corresponding subjects."

此前，Ethan同学也向莱克顿的在校生们分享道：“这个申请季对我来说不是一帆风顺的。去年九月充斥着各种事情，例如填写UCAS、了解大学课程并且写邮件给大学的招生办公室、写文书以及准备笔试。我认为我充分利用了我的时间并且顺利完成了所有事情。”

And previously, Ethan shared with current Lucton students, "This application season has not been smooth sailing for me. Last September was full of things such as filling out UCAS, finding out about university courses and writing emails to university admissions offices, writing essays and preparing for written tests. I think I made the most of my time and got everything done.”

“我很早就定下了要申请的大学和课程。我的文书学术内容丰富并且条理清晰。我还通过做真题和练习来使我的大脑保持一个活跃的状态来迎接笔试。我对于我九月的成果非常满意并且提交了UCAS。”

“I decided early on which universities and programs I would apply to. My personal statement was both academic and logical, demonstrating my passion for natural sciences. By doing past papers and exercises every day, I kept my mind at an active state for the admission test. Then, satisfied at the results, I submitted my UCAS application.”

截至目前为止，Ethan已经收到了来自香港大学，爱丁堡大学，伦敦大学学院，帝国理工和剑桥大学的录取通知，毫无疑问，Ethan已经为今秋的剑桥之路，做好了充分的准备。

To date, Ethan has received offers from the University of Hong Kong, the University of Edinburgh, University College London, Imperial College London, and the University of Cambridge, and there is no doubt that Ethan is well prepared for his journey to Cambridge this fall.

由此可见，在升学之路上，学生个人的各项技能都是非常重要的。从学术能力，到个人兴趣的培养和拓展，再到独立学习能力和时间管理能力等等，都发挥着至关重要的作用。希望在莱克顿全人教育的教学宗旨下，莱克顿人们都能兑现自己的梦校之路，获得成功。

All the skills of the individual student are very important on the path to higher education. From academic ability, to the development and expansion of personal interests, to independent learning and time management skills, all play a vital role.
