莱克顿学子与伯明翰大学面对面

上周，我们很高兴地迎来了伯明翰大学代表团的友好到访。代表团一行中，分别有来自伯明翰大学各院系的教授和主任，以及招生负责人。

Last week we were delighted to welcome a friendly visit from the University of Birmingham. The representatives of University of Birmingham included Professors and Deans from various faculties and departments, as well as the team leader of Admissions.

首先，代表团一行入座会议室，会见了上海莱克顿校长涂彪先生，在友好的问候和热情的介绍后，代表团开始了他们的校园参观。

First, the representatives were welcomed to the meeting room and met with our Headmaster, Mr. Tu. After friendly greetings and warm introductions, we started the school tour.

学生代表Jolene带领着伯明翰大学代表团成员们参观了整个校园。在轻松愉快的交流和对谈中，大家详细介绍了学校的历史、文化、教学设施以及近年来取得的学术成果。驻足在莱克顿小而精的校园里，大家不时驻足拍照，记录下莱克顿的校园美景和特别之处。

Jolene, the student leading representative, led the Professors and Deans of the University of Birmingham to visit the whole campus. During the relaxed and pleasant exchanges and conversations, they were introduced in detail about school’s history, culture, teaching facilities and the academic achievements in recent years. Stopping at the small but exquisite campus of Lucton, everyone stopped to take photos from time to time to record the beauty and special features of Lucton's campus.

代表团成员们与师生们一同享用了校园午餐后，便来到了学校剧院，为全体师生带来了详实、丰富的招生介绍讲座。

After enjoying a school lunch with students and faculty, the representatives made their way to the school theater to deliver a detailed and informative admissions introduction to all students and faculty.

The University of Birmingham, located in Birmingham, the second largest city in the United Kingdom, is a research-based public university, a member of the Russell Group and ranked 84th in the 2024 QS World University Rankings. As a prestigious research university, the University of Birmingham has achieved excellence within the fields of medicine, science, engineering, arts, business and social sciences. During the presentation, the professors took turns to introduce the University of Birmingham, so that the students all gained the professional strength of the University and the latest admission information.

值此之际，希望本届已获得伯明翰大学Offer的准毕业生们能在今年夏季兑现，也希望其他同学们能从通过与高等院校教授的近距离对话，展望自己的未来。

On this occasion, it is hoped that our Year 13 graduating students who have already secured offers from the University of Birmingham will be able to cash in this summer, and that others will be able to look ahead to their futures from this close meeting of the university.
