MIS Qianhai embarks on a new journey.
As one of the important initiatives to promote the integration and innovation of the education industry in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, the upgrade of MIS Qianhai in Shenzhen has attracted a great deal of attention from all walks of life in the community, especially from parents.
After nearly three months of preparations, on the morning of 23 August, the MIS Qianhai School officially welcomed the first opening day after the upgrade and improvement.
The 'MIS Selection' international teaching management team, led by Ms. Claudia Liu, Chief Principal of Lighthouse International Education Group & Executive Head of MIS Qianhai Campus, and Ms. Priscila, Head of Juniors officially showed up on the opening ceremony, and won the applause and affirmation of the students and parents present for their excellent academic backgrounds, rich teaching experience and full of enthusiasm for education.

As the former Secondary School Principal of a Hong Kong through-train Direct Subsidy School (G1-12) that offers both the HK and British curricula, Ms. Claudia Liu is highly experienced in the Hong Kong education sector from Junior to High School. She has extensive expertise in the integration and innovation of international curricula, including but not limited to British and Canadian systems. Additionally, she possesses valuable insights into policy guidance and the latest trends in Hong Kong's educational development.

At the ceremony, Ms. Claudia Liu warmly welcomed the students to join the school and expressed her great expectations for the future of home-school co-operation.
Priscila, the Head of Juniors, graduated from the University of London and has been in management positions in international schools for more than 10 years. She has rich experience in education and teaching management, and she attaches great importance to the professional development of the teaching team. Over the years, she has sent many high-quality students to different world's top universities.
Our star teaching team, all are graduates from top universities around the world, are well versed in the essence of the British and Hong Kong-style international curriculum systems, which will lay a solid academic and linguistic foundation for students who are in the critical period of language learning and rapid absorption of academic knowledge, in preparation for taking the international secondary school curriculum in the future.
Special Integrated Curriculum Highlights
As a member school of the Lighthouse International Group, the curriculum design at MIS Qianhai School will utilize the high-quality resources from MIS Longhua and the Greater Bay Area while incorporating insights from advanced education systems in Hong Kong, Macao, and beyond.
With the British curriculum as our foundation, complemented by the Hong Kong Curriculum, we have innovatively integrated the IPC teaching model to enhance bilingual and bicultural immersion. This approach fosters a diverse international educational atmosphere, with approximately 70% of the curriculum delivered in English and 30% in Chinese.
Adhering to the school's philosophy of ‘Academic Excellence and Family Warmth’, we focus on the whole-person education of each and every student as they grow up and incorporate moral education into our daily teaching and school assemblies, so that students can be given good moral education through personal participation and internalize the good virtues in themselves.
MIS also encourages all students to participate in fundraising activities, including non-uniform days, home bake sales and step donations. Funds raises will be donated to various charitable organizations in China and around the world.

On the opening day of the Qianhai school, we organized a series of welcoming activities as we wanted our students to feel the warmth and unique charm of MIS. Group photos, hugs, smiles, everyone at the scene expressed their desire for the new semester with practical actions.
In addition, the school also prepared a gift box sincerely for new students. Each gift has been carefully selected which contains the school's blessings to the students.
