带着BMH全体成员的爱，我们走近这些孩子的世界 | BMH volunteer activity

“我们致力于服务社会，关心学校社区内外的人与事，对需要帮助的人主动伸出援助之手”，在BMH的日常教学与活动中，我们始终将“服务”这一重要的核心价值观贯彻其中，让每一位成员都能尽己之力，为社会做出积极的贡献。
4月3日，BMH联合深圳市龙华区慈善会·晋心儿童基金、深圳市凯乐昊康复教育中心、深圳市龙华区残疾人服务协会开展了一场特别的联谊活动。在观澜湖集团执行董事及博观外国语学校董事长朱嘉盈博士、博观第一书记肖长春以及晋心基金协调主任蔡婕伶的带领下，博观师生代表前往凯乐昊康复教育中心探访，与特殊儿童群体共同度过了温馨难忘的特殊儿童康复半日体验课。
初次探访特殊儿童校园，BMH的学生们有很多好奇与疑问，凯乐昊康复教育中心的工作人员带领大家参观了学生日常使用的教室、音乐室、生活自理室等，并讲解了特殊儿童日常在校园里的一天是如何度过的。
到达活动室后，BMH与凯乐昊康复教育中心的孩子们温暖相见，大家都一一做了自我介绍，一下子就拉近了彼此的距离。此后，学生们一对一结伴加入了互动小游戏中，击鼓传花、小马过河这些有趣的游戏为孩子们架起了沟通的桥梁，他们逐渐相互信任、互相理解，携手完成了和日常不一样的挑战。
在亲自与特殊儿童接触后，参加活动的16名学生在现场与所有师生分享了自己的感受，他们真正地学会尊重、信任、理解、宽容、付出与友爱。
今天到访凯乐昊中心后，我感受到了那些“特别的孩子”的纯真和善良。他们虽然不善于表达，但是他们很真诚，会用表情、动作表达他们的感受。通过与他们的互动，我也收获了开心与快乐
我们所接触到的孩子都非常乐观和活泼，有着对美好生活的向往，这让我对这些特殊的群体有了更深刻的认识。希望我们都能够对生活保持乐观。
今天我和凯乐昊的孩子们玩得很开心，而且交到了一个好朋友，谢谢他们的友好和热情，以后我们也要用爱去对待别人。
本次活动，BMH还为凯乐昊康复教育中心捐赠了一批价值超过12,000元的教具和学习用品（教学会议一体机、钢琴、单杠、玩具、画架、书包、小礼品和零食等）。购买物资的善款全部来源于2023年BMH冬季庆典活动，集合了BMH社区所有成员的力量，希望尽我们的绵薄之力能够为更多特殊儿童带去关心与爱护。
每学年BMH都会有多场全体社区成员共同参与的活动，其中筹集的善款都将全数捐赠给更多有需要的人，希望这些来自BMH成员们的爱心能带给他人爱与力量。在这个过程中，也希望我们的学生们懂得珍惜当下，感恩所拥有的一切，并尽己之力为身边的人做出贡献。
本次活动也获得多方报道，希望孩子们能继续存善心、做好事，我们一起积极加入更多公益活动中去！
▶Experience class held to help kids with autism
At BMH, we are fully committed to a culture of service both within and outside our school community and will act to make a positive difference for those in need. We emphasise the core value of 'service' in all of our daily teaching and activities, empowering every member of our school community to make a positive contribution to community.
On 3rd April, BMH, together with Caring Hearts United Fund, Shenzhen Kailehao Rehabilitation Centre, and Shenzhen Longhua District Disabled Persons' Service Association, conducted a charity event. Representatives of BMH teachers and students, led by Dr Catherine Chu (Executive Director of Mission Hills Group), Mr Xiao Changchun (First Secretary of BMH), and Caitlin Tsai (Programme Coordinator of Caring Hearts United), visited Kailehao Rehabilitation Centre. They had a wonderful time spending the morning on an immersive experience course with a group of special needs children.
This is our first visit to the Kailehao Rehabilitation Centre. All students were intrigued and full of curiosity. The staff kindly guided them through the classrooms, music rooms, and self-care facilities that their children use every day. They also explained how the children with special needs spend their day at the centre.
Upon arriving at the activity room, BMH students and the children from Kailehao greeted each other warmly and introduced themselves to each other. Afterwards, the students had a blast participating in interactive games. These fun and engaging activities helped the children communicate with each other, build trust, understanding, and teamwork as they worked together to overcome challenges.
After the activities, the 16 students who participated in the programme shared their reflections with other participants. They all shared that they had learned to respect, trust, give, empathise, include, and love.
After visiting Kailehao Centre today, I felt the innocence and kindness of these "special children". They might not be expressive with words, but their face and gestures say everything. Interacting with them brought me so much happiness and joy!
The children there are optimistic and full of pep. They look forward to and work really hard for a better life. This experience has helped me gain a deeper understanding of this special group. We hope we can all be hopeful and stay positive.
Today, I had a lovely experience with the children at Kailehao. I made a new friend there. All of them are friendly and nice. We will continue to treat others with love and kindness moving forward.
BMH also donated useful teaching tools and school supplies to the centre (interactive white board, piano, gym equipment, art easels, school bags, toys, gifts and snacks, etc.) in the worth of over RMB12,000 yuan to Kailehao Rehabilitation Centre. The purchase of the supplies all came from the proceeds of 2023 BMH Winter Fair. With the efforts of all members of the BMH community, we hope that our humble efforts can reach out to more children in need.
Every school year, BMH organises a range of activities that involve all members of our wonderful community. The money raised from these activities is donated to those in need, with the hope that the love and support from BMH members can bring strength and comfort to them. We believe that through these activities, we can instil in our students a sense of gratitude for what they have and a desire to make a difference to those around them.
The event was also widely reported and it is hoped that the children will actively participate in more charity activities together！
